We are seeking a 12 month maternity leave cover for one of New Zealand's fastest growing fashion manufacturers and resellers. They are a highly recognisable brand on the global stage gaining sales and recognition which is fast propelling them forward towards their wider vision.
This ethical organisation promotes their garments through a store network throughout New Zealand, Australia, Europe and America.
As Head of Sales based in Wellington, you shall lead the sales growth and the sales teams.
Reporting to you is a skilled and experienced team covering eCommerce, international sales including the Australian sales manager and wholesale. Whilst effectively leading a high functioning team of passionate people, you will be asked to continue growing their fashion lines through the main verticals being online, local and international. This is not a mat leave cover role where the job is to "maintain" status quo. This opportunity is for someone to get in and leave it even better than you found it!
Season dependant, your typical week involves a lot of people contact. Connecting with the European and U.S. agents, your Australasian team and simply being across all sales activity - intimately. Lots of planning and costing and lots of spread sheets… But you would know this already!
What we need is:
- Someone who can start sooner rather than later
- Strong understanding of sales and a strong sales philosophy
- Communications - only the best! Verbal, written - intuitive J
- People person - this is very important as this business is all about the people
- Understanding of the marketing function
- Strong Mac skills
- Joor / Shopify / Cin7 would be ideal
- Bachelors level qualification be it business or fashion
- International experience / exposure - very important!
- Fashion sales experience
This role is ownership of the sales function which is also the way it is reviewed. Seasonal targets and channel sales.
