ABOUT THE COMPANY
This New Zealand business group is right behind the building trade. They market a full range of wood-based products and associated building goodies. Their full range of products are sold direct to builders, major multi-site big box retailers and independent DIY and building supply stores. Their Head Office is based in Onehunga and you would report to the HR Manager. This is a roll your sleeves up environment where your strength of character and practical nature will put you in good stead.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for a number of manufacturing sites in NZ providing HR advice and delivering HR solutions, leading change management initiatives and supporting IR/ER strategies. You will coordinate, manage and implement HR projects, deliver HR consulting, guidance and coaching of Managers. You will also implement HR strategies such as performance ethic, development planning and on-boarding to enhance performance and effectiveness. Building relationships across the business, with key stakeholders including the unions is key to your success in this role.
WHAT YOU NEED?
You will be an experienced Senior HR professional with solid generalist HR skills that include ER/IR knowledge. You would have worked in a business partnering model and be comfortable working in an unionised environment. Ideally you will have worked in Manufacturing or similar. You will have resilience, solid life skills, a good sense of humour and a desire to be a fully participating member of a supportive HR team. You will also be available to travel on a weekly basis.
